Developer's plans for Coney Island Casino in New York

The proposal encompasses 70,000 square feet of retail space, numerous restaurants, a conference center, a concert hall, public spaces, and a hotel.

Thor is collaborating with Saratoga Casino Holdings, Chicksaw Nation, and Legends to compete for the casino license in the southern part of the state. CEO Sam Gerriti emphasized the project's importance for economic support and improving the area's infrastructure.

Additionally, construction of sky bridges and pedestrian walkways is planned to connect the resort's various elements and existing developments on the island.

Coney is competing for the license with other major projects in the city such as the Metropolitan Park complex, the casino on Times Square, and others. However, the Coney project may progress faster due to its private nature and readiness to begin work.

Coney must obtain the casino license before commencing construction.
