Spanish regulator initiates creation of a unified data registry for the gambling industry

The registry will enable the integration of data into various government bodies and facilitate the compilation of a comprehensive report on the industry's activities. Additionally, operators will be required to create risk profiles for players under the age of 25 to enhance accountability in the gambling sector.

The DGOJ plans to complete the development and implementation of the system by the end of this year, with the registry expected to be fully operational by 2025. Consultations with key market participants and operators are planned before the final implementation.
